I'm sure that BarCampMoneyNYC this week-end will demonstrate that the East Coast is also full of vibrance right now on the subject. I think that with the different BarCampBanks coming up this year - http://barcamp.org/BarCampBank - we will have a lot of opportunities to see that financial innovations is coming from everywhere and in every different sizes and shapes.
